The Virginia Down Syndrome Association will host the 12th Education & Transition Conference will be Saturday, March 14th at the J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College - Parham Campus. In conjunction with the conference, VDSA is pleased to provide additional learning opportunities for caregivers, educators, and self-advocates with ID/DD. Richmond – Adaptive Storytime

Support your child’s early literacy by attending the VDSA’s new Adaptive Storytime program hosted by VCU doctoral student, Kaitlyn Spitler, OTS, and the VDSA Education Director, Ame Branam at the VDSA office. Each session will feature a book from Natalie Hale’s Whole Child Reading Program, expanded with multi-sensory and motor-based approaches. It will further incorporate opportunities for free play and social engagement. This program is targeted towards children with Down syndrome age 0-5, though siblings and family members are welcome to join. 3,2,1 Pool Time! -F’burg

3,2,1 Pool Time Let's celebrate our family and friends with Down Syndrome on 3/21 by splashing in the indoor pool! March 21, 3-4:30pm @ Wilderness Presidential Resort Non-swimmers MUST have an adult in the pool with them at all times. Bring your own floaties(for non-swimmers only), goggles, towels, etc! Individual with Down Syndrome is Free! Other family members $5/each Limited tickets, so RSVP early!! All families will also have to complete a Wilderness Resort Waiver too.
