Richmond Grandparent Support Group – Join us in March! Connect with other grandparents on a similar journey. This group is peer-led and will promote conversation and connection for caregivers like you. This meeting will take place in-person at our VDSA office in Richmond on Monday, March 2nd from 6:30pm-7:30pm. Feel free to bring a bagged dinner! Virtual – Communication Skills Groups for Teens and Adults

VDSA is pleased to offer virtual Communication Skill groups thanks to a partnership with Longwood University. Teens ages 13-18 and adults 19 and over are invited to join Longwood University speech therapy students in conversation! This is a low-pressure, conversational style program where you'll connect with each other and have a great time! This event is free of charge. The Adults group will meet from 3:30pm until 4:15pm and our teens group will meet from 4:15pm until 5:00pm. Sessions will take place via Zoom on February 11th, February 25th, March 4th, March 18th, April 8th, and April 22nd. Richmond – Moving On Series: Cooking & Kitchen Safety

VDSA is reviving our Kitchen Safety and Cooking class series, and this time we're partnering up with Jacob's Chance and Good Neighbor Village to bring you four weeks of the following: Basic kitchen safety How to use kitchen equipment How to measure for recipes Recipe terminology Reading food labels Practicing making dishes using a recipe Classes will take place at a Good Neighbor Village cottage, so our chefs-in-training can practice in a residential kitchen.
